Doverdale Bownmen held their first corporate day on Saturday 21st April 2007 when a party of 12 from Gloucester came to try their hand at archery. After a short time at the practice butts, the visitors took part in a 10 target field round and considering the amount of time available for practice, the group succeeded in producing some particularly high scores.
The club members who escorted the individual teams around the field course did a brilliant job in coaching and taking scores which contributed to the smooth running of the day.
Some excellent refreshments including a large selection of home made cakes were consumed along with tea and coffee by both visitors and members.
